Somalia must quickly seize all the key points in the region before Ethiopia is able to defend itself\. Ethiopia seeks to slow down the enemy's offensive by relying on imminent Soviet support\.   Ogaden 1977 is played in 21 turns, each representing two weeks between June 1, 1977, and March 31, 1978\.
